The CMF Livelihood Program concentrates on providing services, opportunities and technology to women of small households and workers and empowering them towards business activities. The CMF helps women from socially and economically backward communities to earn their livelihood using a variety of non-agriculture avenues.
The CMF focuses on improving access and control of women from marginalized communities over productive resources, services and opportunities. Reaching out to over 65,584 individuals including 29,002 women, the CMF India has built the capacities of individuals and collectives. By supporting more than 4,000 collectives, the interventions addressed barriers such as unequal power relations and enable the transformation of gender norms at multiple levels.
The CMF works with women smallholder farmers in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka to support sustainable and climate resilient agricultural practices, improve nutrition security and build climate change resilience against various kinds of shocks and stresses. To bring about holistic change in the areas of resilience and nutrition, it is necessary to sustain resources for future, promote individual and institutional capacities and transform vulnerability to risks in the areas of agriculture and livelihood. Our work also focuses on building asset-based knowledge and information on institutional entitlements and governance to improve climate change resilience and nutrition security.
